It is a simple admission, but they say that admitting you have a problem is the first step towards recovery (or something like that). I checked and the last time I posted was July 31st of last year! And the sad thing is, I actually had something to post about (my latest book, buy it now! or read it free if you have Kindle Unlimited) and I still managed to avoid doing a post!
A new year, a new leaf, right? Right.
So as I sit here in front of my fireplace, trying my best to stay warm ( it is currently 27 degrees outside) I thought it would be a good time to post an update.
Like I mentioned before, the second book in the Thomas and Rose Mysteries was published in October of last year. The title is The Marathon Murders and here is the blurb, from Amazon:
She knew that running a marathon could be hard.
Who knew it could be murder?
Southport, North Carolina. A picturesque seaside town that’s not quite what it seems. When a body is found during the local marathon, bloodied and brutalized, Thomas and Rose are called in to help with the investigation. As the bodies start to pile up, and the further they investigate, the more bizarre it becomes until their very survival is in question. Could this be their last case?
Here’s the cover. I quite like what the artist did. She also did the cover for my first book, The Mumfest Murders.
But there’s no rest for the wicked and I’m already hard at work editing book 3 in the series which is, as of right now, still without a title. I have been batting around a few ideas and, when I land on the right one, I’ll be able to actually order the cover and, editing completed, get it uploaded to Amazon. I am aiming for a March release, but you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men, right? Especially men with 5 children.
I am also working on drafting out book 4. I have about a quarter of it completed and hope to have the draft finished by the end of February (incidentally, why is this word so hard to spell? It’s my birth month and I can never seem to get it right the first time. English is hard.)
That’s it for now. I promise to update again soon. Definitely (another hard one to spell) sooner than the 7 months it took for this post! If you want to chat or check in with me, you can always follow me on either Facebook or Twitter. I’m on Twitter a lot. Like, too much. But so it goes.
